Guam – Yesterday a grand opening ceremony was held for the re-location of the FHP Vision Center – a component of the organization’s Health Center. FHP Vision Center Supervisor Patrice Palomo told KUAM News, “We wanted to focus more on retail so what we did is have a store front view for patients and customers.”
The center has over 1,000 top of the line, quality, warranted frames and lenses, contact lenses and high end sunglasses. The center also offers occupational health services products including safety frames and lenses. The FHP Vision Center currently offers comprehensive eye examinations and eyeglasse prescriptions.
Optician Albert Soriano said, “We have a new optical laboratory equipment here- so that means we can service the lenses here and we don’t have to send them off island anymore, which usually takes 2-3 weeks.”
Instead, the lenses can be processed within a day or in a matter of a few hours and Soriano says that the center should be receiving more state of the art equipment in the near future. Palomo wants to inform residents that the FHP Vision Center accepts most insurance plans including Netcare, Selectcare, Staywell, Takecare, Tricare and most others.
